LETTER FROM IAC’S PRESIDENT

Jerry White – IAC President and Shoshone County Assessor

First, I would like to thank you, the Membership for the great honor of serving as your President. You are a well-respected group of people and I will do my best to live up to your expectations. I am very excited to represent the great state of Idaho at the National level. I’m looking forward to working with Seth and the awesome staff at IAC, who never cease to amaze me. Together, along with the Board of Directors, I know we can accomplish great things.

Second, I would encourage you to serve on one of IAC’s Policy Committees or one of your affiliate Committees. I believe it the best way to benefit from your membership with IAC.  It helps you stay informed and serving gives you a new appreciation for those that do serve and chair the committees.

Third, I would encourage you to move out of your comfort zone and meet other elected officials. It is always helpful to meet people within your affiliate, but meeting members from other affiliates allows you to see what is new in their counties and you never know when they can be a resource.  If you are lucky, you might gain some lifelong friends.

Fourth, if I can help with any questions or concerns you have of the Association, reach out to me.  Questions on how things operate, suggestions, or compliments.  I might not have the answer at first, but I will get it for you. Remember I am here to serve you.

Finally, I would like to extend a huge thank you to Commissioner Gordon Cruickshank for his service to both his county and to IAC.  He always had the best interest of not only his county but all Idaho counties at heart. I think I speak for everyone when I say you will truly be missed.  Thank you for your service.
