County Officials Invited to Attend Property Tax Summit on January 7

We know that property tax relief is poised to be one of the biggest issues before the legislature in 2022. We also know most Idahoans, including many legislators, do not understand the nuances of how the property tax system works. To that end, the Idaho Association of County Assessors, in partnership with IAC and the Associated Taxpayers of Idaho, will host a property tax symposium on January 7, 2022 in Boise. The goal of the symposium is to educate legislators about property taxes prior to the Legislature convening on January 10th. We’ve arranged for two panels of national experts to discuss property tax assessment best practices as well as property tax relief options from around the country.

In order for the event to be successful, we need legislators to attend. Please consider coming to Boise on January 7th to join us for the symposium. If you plan on attending, please invite your legislators to attend with you. Ask them to sit next to you so you can help answer questions. Registration is free to attend.
