New laws, upcoming budgets, and important revenue updates – SCOI helps counties prepare for the year ahead.
IAC is gearing up for the 2026 Spring County Officials Institute (SCOI), bringing essential training to six locations across Idaho. This day-long training that comes with lunch is designed to help county elected officials, departments, and staff understand the outcomes of the 2026 Legislative Session and prepare for the FY2027 budgeting process.
Participants will hear directly from IAC’s Policy Team with a recap of the 2026 Legislative Session and how new laws may affect county government. The training will also feature a panel of county elected officials who will share practical approaches they use when preparing and presenting budget requests – offering real-world strategies counties can apply in their own offices. SCOI is also an opportunity to ask questions, connect with peers, and share ideas with counties facing similar challenges. If you haven’t already done so, click here to register today! The County Officials Institute is a training program designed to provide the skills and knowledge to be an effective leader in county government.
