The  Idaho Association of County Assessors (IACA) convened in Nampa, Idaho, August 18–20, 2026, for its annual conference, hosted at the Nampa Civic Center.

The conference kicked off Monday with optional activities, including a golf scramble and a bus tour highlighting Canyon County agriculture. That evening, attendees gathered at Purple Sage Golf Course for a dinner sponsored by GovPros, providing county assessors from across the state an opportunity to reconnect before the conference’s full agenda began.

Tuesday morning opened with a welcome from IACA President and Canyon County Assessor Brian Stender, followed by the Pledge of Allegiance led by Payette County Assessor Sandra Clason and an invocation led by Shoshone County Assessor Jerry White. The opening session also included approval of the previous meeting minutes, treasurer and historian reports, and introductions of guests, including representatives from the Idaho State Tax Commission.

The first day featured a variety of committee updates and reports, including the Blue Committees, Gold Committees, Timber Committee, Real Property/Exemptions Committee, Ratio Studies Committee, and Legislative Committee. Attendees also heard from International Association of Assessing Officers (IAAO) Immediate Past President Donna Vandervries.

Wednesday began with meetings of the Nominating, Rules, Technical Support, Education, CAPCOM, Mapping, and Motor Vehicles and Recreation Committees. The day also included a forward-looking discussion about upcoming conferences and association activities as well as the IACA Business Meeting, where members approved the 2027 budget.

In the afternoon, assessors presented the prestigious Assessor Service Award to Idaho Association of Counties Executive Director Seth Grigg.

The 2026 Assessor’s Service Award has been given in grateful recognition of Seth’s unwavering dedication, skillful advocacy, and steadfast service—representing our association with integrity before legislators and the Governor’s staff, while graciously answering every call and question with patience and expertise,” said Stender. “His commitment to Idaho’s Assessor Association has strengthened our voice and enriched our mission.”

That evening, attendees gathered for the IACA Annual Installation Banquet, where the association’s new executive officers were sworn in. Hollie Ann Flansberg, Gem County Assessor, was sworn in as IACA President, with Jessica Roach, Jefferson County Assessor, moving into the role of Vice President. Josh Dison, Elmore County Assessor, was sworn in as Secretary, while Olivia Drake, Boundary County Assessor, became Treasurer and Kathleen Atkinson, Oneida County Assessor, was elected Historian. Brian Stender, Canyon County Assessor, rounded out the new leadership team as IACA’s Immediate Past President.
