IAC District 2 Meeting Recap – July 2024

The IAC District 2 meeting was held on July 10th in Idaho County. The meeting began with a guided tour of the Grangeville Mill facilitated by the Idaho Forest Group. Attendees enjoyed a behind-the-scenes look at how the mill functions and learned about its daily operations.

Following the tour, members traveled to the Idaho County Search and Rescue Building where Nez Perce County Treasurer Missy McLaughlin, called the meeting to order followed by the pledge of allegiance. The first item on the agenda was to nominate a committee for the H. Sydney Duncombe Award, the committee includes: Nez Perce County Treasurer Missy McLaughlin, Idaho County Clerk Kathy Ackerman, and Lewis County Treasurer Shelley Ponozzo. 

ICRMP Executive Director Tim Osborne, also gave an update at the meeting, going over the upcoming years insurance renewal rates.

IAC District 2 will be holding elections at the regular fall meeting in September for Chairman, Vice-Chairman, Legislative District Chairman, Alternate Legislative District Chairman, Board Member to IAC, Alternate Board Member to IAC, and Secretary/Treasurer.
