Ada County will play host to around 250 Idaho county elected officials next week during the 43rd Midwinter Legislative Conference of the Idaho Association of Counties. Officials representing each of Idaho’s 44 counties and guests including state lawmakers will meet February 6 – 8 in Boise, Idaho to participate in workshops and policy steering committee meetings.
The Midwinter Conference will be called to order on Tuesday, February 6 at 10:00 am. Tuesday’s general session features a pundits panel comprised of Betsy Russell, Spokesman Review; Kimberlee Kruesi, Associated Press; and Seth Ogilvie, Idaho Public Television, as well as an overview of current legislative issues affecting Idaho’s counties.
Wednesday morning elected officials will have an opportunity to listen in on committee meetings and meet with their legislators as IAC visits the Capitol. Attendees will hear from legislative leaders on Wednesday afternoon and close out IAC’s agenda with the Legislative Reception sponsored by IAC, ISA, and IPAA. Thursday wraps up the week with affiliate meetings.
