The 10th Annual Avenues for Hope Housing Challenge begins Thursday, Dec. 10. This fundraiser assists 80 nonprofits that manage the day-to-day work of connecting Idahoans to safe, stable, and affordable housing.
These critical nonprofits need your help now more than ever. Through Dec. 31, donors can direct their tax-deductible gifts to one or more nonprofit at avenuesforhope.org.
“Many of our neighbors are struggling with housing needs, especially during the pandemic,” said Idaho Housing and Finance Association President Gerald Hunter. “It’s why this year we hope to raise $1.5 million to help participating nonprofits maintain and expand their housing and homelessness prevention services.”
Since 2011, Avenues for Hope has raised $4.4 million and has supported 90 nonprofits that provide critical housing services in Idaho, including school districts with students experiencing housing challenges. The campaign is organized by The Home Partnership Foundation and Idaho Housing and Finance Association.
“We are able to do this by encouraging community donations for participating nonprofits along with support from Idaho Housing and Finance Association and generous sponsors,” says Deanna Ward the director of development for the Home Partnership Foundation. With the help of 45 sponsors, the Foundation is offering about $300,000 in prize and matching funds this year, which exponentially increases the power of every individual donation.
