Last week, the Idaho Association of County Assessors (IACA) gathered in Boise, Idaho for the 2024 Fall Meeting. This all-day event brought together 40 participants representing 32 counties to collaborate, share insights, and enhance their knowledge. Many attendees extended their stay in Boise to participate in the Associated Taxpayers of Idaho conference the following day.
The Fall Meeting featured a dynamic agenda, including a discussion with representatives from the Idaho State Tax Commission on software and technology support. Attendees also delved into key topics such as legislation, real property exemptions, motor vehicles, parks and recreation, and insurance.
To wrap up the day, IACA members enjoyed a fun and engaging team-building activity: a scavenger hunt through downtown Boise. Braving the chilly weather, the victorious team included IACA President Justin Baldwin from Gooding County; IACA Historian Josh Dison from Elmore County; Caribou County Assessor Aaron Cook; and IAC’s Director of Government Affairs Sara Westbrook.
