The Idaho Association of Counties (IAC) Board of Directors held their spring planning meeting last week on April 23-24, 2026. IAC President Jenny Rosin, Lemhi County Assessor, opened the meeting with a warm welcome before kicking off two days of robust discussion and strategic preparation for the coming year.
The Board reviewed progress across several IAC Committees including the IAC Education Committee, the IAC Program and Services Committee, and the IAC Policy & Platform Coordinating Committee. There was a review of this year’s legislative session and discussion about IAC’s legislative strategies moving forward into next year as well as goals and ideas to continue IAC’s legislative success. The board was also presented with an overview of IAC’s proposed budget revenues for FY2027 presented by IAC Executive Director, Seth Grigg.
The Idaho Association of Counties Scholarship Fund Committee (IACSF) also met to discuss this year’s scholarship winners. Topics included the recent shift to an online fund application for applicants which has been a great step for optimizing the application process, along with an overview of the IACSF proposed budget for FY2027 and the process for determining scholarship applicant winners.
The IAC Bylaw Amendments Subcommittee reported on their proposed amendments to IAC’s bylaws, which are reviewed every two years. The board approved of the proposed amendments to the bylaws which will be presented to the full membership during IAC’s Annual Conference in September.
