IT Leaders Fall Meeting Recap

The IT Leaders convened on Tuesday, September 30, for their annual Fall Meeting at the Local Government Center in Boise, Idaho. The meeting opened with routine business, including the approval of previous meeting minutes, as well as highlights from the National Association of Counties (NACo) Conference, Western Regional Innovation and Technology Alliance (WRITA) Conference, and the Idaho Digital Summit. 

The business portion also included the election of officers for 2025. Teton County’s Greg Adams was elected President, Jefferson County’s Garn Herrick was elected Secretary/Treasurer, and the district representatives are as follows: Grant Kinsey (Kootenai County, District 1), Austin Cole (Latah County, District 2), Robert Peterson (Washington County, District 3), Jon Eaton (Blaine County, District 4), Matt Galloway (Bingham County, District 5), and Chad Quayle (Fremont County, District 6).

The remainder of the day featured a series of presentations and discussions: a threat intelligence briefing, strategies for network monitoring on a budget, a session on streamlining help desk operations and ticket management, and a forward-looking conversation on upcoming IT Leaders meetings.

The IT Leaders will meet next on January 29-30, 2026 during IAC’s Midwinter Legislative Conference at the Boise Centre.
