Imagine Idaho Grant Opportunity Announcement

Imagine Idaho Foundation is now accepting 2022-2023 grant applications, which will range between 5-10 projects. Awarded applicants can expect grant amounts between $2,000, $5,000, and in some cases, up to $10,000 depending on need. The application window opens on July 1, 2022, and consideration will begin on July 18, 2022. The window closes on September 30, 2022, or when all 10 projects are selected.

“We are happy to announce that we are conducting our 2022-203 grantee selection after the successful launch of nine partner projects in 2021,” said Imagine Idaho Foundation Director Christina Culver. “We are able to do this thanks to the generosity of our donors who make our work possible.” Imagine Idaho encourages counties interested in applying for grant funding to do so early to better their chances of being selected.

Imagine Idaho is privately funded to help build capacity for broadband infrastructure by a number of significant supporters including the J.A. and Kathryn Albertson Foundation, Innovia Foundation, Regence Blue Shield of Idaho, and the Micki and Dan Chapin Fund of the Idaho Community Foundation.

Services Imagine Idaho provides to grantees include:

• No cost community consulting and support 
• One-time grants for broadband project planning 
• Community engagement plans 
• Needs assessments and broadband speed testing 
• Pre-engineering studies 
• Cost analysis for budgeting 
• Determining a well-designed plan for coverage 
• Preparing grant applications 
• Referrals to service partners for technical support 
• Interfacing with the Idaho Broadband Advisory Board (IBAB) as a non-biased, educational resource
