The Idaho Association of County Recorders and Clerks (IACRC) gathered in Pocatello, Idaho, from August 12-14, for their 2025 Annual Conference, hosted at the ICCU Alumni Center. Attendees discussed budgets, legislative updates, committee reports, and participated in hands-on leadership training.

The conference opened with a welcome to Bannock County from IACRC President and Bannock County Clerk, Jason Dixon, followed by the Pledge of Allegiance and an invocation. The morning featured an Elections Bill update from Ada County Clerk Trent Tripple, a discussion on the Court Delinquent Debt Workgroup, and a lobbyist report. That afternoon, attendees engaged in leadership training led by Angie Lion, Co-Founder of Black River Performance Management, which focuses on creating fulfilling and positive workplace experiences.

Day two began with a presentation from the Secretary of State’s Office on microgrants available to Idaho counties through the America250 Celebration Fund, as well as updates on upcoming elections. The day continued with roundtable discussions organized by county size, followed by a team-building and communication workshop led by Mary Kummer, Marketing Representative at ICRMP. It concluded with the annual IACRC business meeting, where Pam Eckhardt was elected Secretary/Treasurer.

That evening, the IACRC Installation Banquet was held, and new executive officers were sworn in. Kim Keeley, Teton County Clerk, was sworn in as the IACRC President. Trent Tripple, Ada County Clerk, moved to the position of IACRC Vice President. Pam Eckhardt, Bingham County Clerk, was elected as IACRC Secretary/Treasurer, and Jason Dixon, Bannock County Clerk, became the IACRC Immediate Past President.

The final day featured committee updates, continued discussion on the Court Delinquent Debt Workgroup, and an interactive session with Mary Kummer titled “Curse of Knowledge,” which included a lively exercise highlighting the gap between what we say and what others hear.

Beyond the business sessions, attendees enjoyed networking and social activities throughout the week, including a golf scramble on Monday evening, bowling on Tuesday night, and a banquet dinner at the scenic Mink Creek Pavilion on Wednesday.

The 2026 IACRC Annual Conference will be held on August 11-13 at the Nez Perce County Courthouse. See you then!
