IAC District 3 Meeting Recap – April 2024

The IAC District 3 meeting was held in Adams County on April 10th, 2024. The meeting offered a place for District 3 affiliates to discuss county issues and solutions. Payette County Sheriff Andy Creech called the meeting to order with the Pledge of Allegiance and roll call. Sara Westbrook, IAC’s Director of Government Affairs, presented legislative updates and changes from the 2024 legislative session. Following the legislative updates, the members in attendance enjoyed a roundtable lunch where they sat with their affiliate groups to have a closer discussion.  

The meeting continued with Board and Committee reports including: ICRMP Committee by Gem County Clerk Shelly Tilton, Legislative Committee by Valley County Commissioner Sherry Maupin, Capital Crimes by IAC Policy Advisor Kelli Brassfield, Gem Plan Committee by Adams County Commissioner Joe Iveson, and IAC Committee by Gem County Assessor Hollie Ann Strang. 

Ada County Clerk Trent Tripple concluded the meeting with a presentation on the Idaho election system. Tripple shared how fortunate the state of Idaho is for its protective process of voting and how Idaho differs from other states. 

The next District 3 meeting will take place online on July 10th, 2024.
