Refund & Cancellation Policy
It may sound strict, but the Idaho Association of Counties (IAC) has a conference refund policy for a reason – to save you money in the long run.
If you cancel your registration more than seven days before the start of any IAC conference, you will receive a full refund of your registration payment. Cancellations made or received less than seven days before the start of a conference will not receive a refund. Late requests for refunds due to a family emergency will be considered on a case-by-case basis. Registrants who fail to attend an IAC conference and do not notify IAC are responsible for the full payment.
How to Cancel
All cancellations must be sent to IAC’s Event Coordinator, Mindy Linn, in writing via:
- Fax: (208) 345-0379
P.O. Box 1623
Boise, ID 83701
Please fax or email cancellations, if possible, to ensure a timely delivery. Expect confirmation from Mindy within two days.
Reason for Refund / Cancellation Policy
Why can’t I get a full refund if I cancel a couple days before the conference? IAC runs its conferences on a tight budget, which means we have to keep food and printing costs at a minimum. We give hotel catering staff and other food service providers the exact number of meals to prepare for events based on the number of people registered. We also print registration packets and other materials before the conference based again on the exact number of people registered. Therefore, if you cancel at the last minute, IAC is left with mounds of food and paper with nobody to pay for it.
So to keep our costs and your registration fees low, we can’t offer last-minute refunds, except for certain emergencies. We’re sorry for the inconvenience, but it does save everyone money by keeping the conference registration prices low.
