Phil McGrane serves Chief Deputy to Ada County Clerk, Chris Rich. He began his career at Ada County in 2005 as an elections specialist recruiting and training poll workers and has since been involved in all aspects of elections and election policy. While born and raised in Idaho, Phil has a Bachelor’s degree in philosophy from the University of Washington, a law degree from the University of Denver, and Master’s degree in Public Administration from Boise State. However, Phil’s greatest accomplishments are from the world of competitive barbecue, including finishing 18th in the nation on the Sam’s Club National BBQ Tour in 2013.
