Frome Park Campground Host

Position Summary

Fremont County is seeking a campground host for Frome Park, Henry’s Lake, Island Park.

Dates: May 25 to Sept. 15, 2019, approximate.

It is the policy of Fremont County to maintain a substance abuse free work environment. Campground host must comply with the Fremont County Personnel Policy. A pre-employment drug test will be required.

A completed Fremont County Job Application is required and can be obtained at Veteran preference applies.


Applicant must:

-Knowledge of Idaho boating and fishing regulations

-Knowledge of Fremont County’s recreation/boating access sites

-Be able to lift 40 lbs. without difficulty

-Must be able to operate a riding lawn mower, chain saw, and watering equipment

-Must be available on weekends and holidays.


Hourly rate: $10.54

Hours per week: 40

The position is classified as a part-time seasonal position, no benefits are included.

Day to day work schedule is flexible, however, successful candidate must be available on weekends and holidays.

A campsite with electrical hook-up is provided. Freshwater well located nearby. Successful candidate must provide own on-site, self-contained living accommodations (camp trailer).


Duties: Job includes patrolling the campgrounds for activity, yard and other light maintenance, lawn mowing/watering, frequent cleaning of public restroom facilities and litter pickup. Responsible for limited record keeping. Must be a self-starter and maintain good public relations with site visitors.

Frome Park is the primary no-fee boating and fishing access to Henry’s Lake. Overnight campsites are available on a first-come basis and cannot be reserved. The site has a 15-day limit for campers. Successful candidate will be responsible for keeping the number of people and vehicles at, or below, site capacity. Signs and bulletin boards must be well maintained and meet Fremont County standards.
