On May 1st, Governor Little announced that Idaho would enter Stage 1 of Rebound Idaho. Stage 1 allows most Idaho businesses, churches, and daycares to open as long as they maintain social distancing and sanitation standards. Certain businesses, like gyms, bars, nightclubs, barber shops, and beauty salons will remain closed, as well as dine-in restaurant services.

During Stage 1, public gatherings of any size are also discouraged. Stage 1 will remain in place until at least May 15th. If all criteria is met, the state will advance to Stage 2 on May 16th. During Stage 2, beauty salons, barber shops, gyms, and dine-in restaurant service may resume under social distancing and sanitation protocols. Restaurants, in particular, will be required to vet plans to reopen with local public health districts. Bars and nightclubs will remain closed until at least Stage 4 (June 13-26). Full information about Rebound Idaho can be found at rebound.idaho.gov.

In entering Stage 1 of Rebound Idaho, Governor Little also allowed his Stay Home Order to expire. The Governor replaced the Stay Home Order with a new Stay Healthy Order. Information regarding the Stay Healthy Order can be found at coronavirus.idaho.gov/Idaho-resources.
